Despite its compact size, the BYD DOLPHIN doesn’t compromise on convenience, featuring a range of standard technologies such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Intelligent Cruise Control, and a surround-view camera system.

This agile hatchback not only radiates efficiency but also prioritises accessibility. Its unique, rounded silhouette is complemented by precise detailing on the doors, making it easily recognisable from the side.

With a spacious 2.70 m wheelbase, both driver and passengers enjoy ample room. The standard 16-inch alloy wheels can be upgraded to 17-inch wheels, offering a sportier aesthetic for those seeking a more dynamic look.

SAFETY

DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS

The BYD DOLPHIN sets a new standard for safety in electric vehicles, offering an impressive range of advanced driver assistance features as standard. Recognised as one of the safest options on the market, every version of the BYD DOLPHIN comes equipped with essential safety technologies, including a 360-degree camera, Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Keep Assistance (LKA), and Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC).

Further elevating its safety credentials, the BYD DOLPHIN includes Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Rear Cross Traffic Brake (RTCB) as standard. Powered by millimetre-wave radar, these features detect approaching vehicles during reverse manoeuvres, providing an alert and automatically applying the brakes if a collision is imminent, ensuring a heightened level of protection for all occupants.

Built on the advanced BYD e-Platform 3.0—purposefully engineered for pure electric vehicles—the BYD DOLPHIN offers a host of benefits in intelligence, efficiency, safety, and design. Thanks to this innovative platform, the DOLPHIN features short front and rear overhangs and an extended wheelbase, creating a sleek, modern profile. This design not only enhances its visual appeal but also allows for a more spacious interior, particularly in the rear. A flat floor ensures greater comfort and legroom, even for passengers seated in the middle.

HIGH PERFORMANCE BATTERY

BYD BLADE BATTERY

The BYD DOLPHIN features the groundbreaking Blade Battery—renowned for redefining safety, longevity, and performance in the electric vehicle sector for over 28 years. Constructed using lithium iron phosphate (LFP), this battery avoids the use of scarce raw materials such as nickel and cobalt, offering a more sustainable and secure energy solution. The DOLPHIN is fitted with a 60 kWh LFP Blade Battery, delivering an impressive range of up to 427 km on a single charge.

Charging is both convenient and efficient, with support for 11 kW AC charging enabling a full charge in around 8 hours. For quicker turnarounds, 100 kW DC fast charging allows the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in just 29 minutes.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY

HIGH-EFFICIENCY HEAT PUMP SYSTEM

The BYD DOLPHIN is equipped as standard with an advanced heat pump system that significantly boosts energy efficiency and driving range. This innovative technology recycles residual heat from the powertrain, cabin, and battery system to deliver effective heating and cooling.

Engineered to perform efficiently across a wide range of temperatures, the heat pump ensures the cabin remains comfortable in all weather conditions—whether you're driving in the depths of winter or the height of summer.
